Artificial Superintelligence Alliance

On March 27, 2024, Fetch.ai, SingularityNET and Ocean Protocol announced an agreement to merge their tokens, creating the largest independent open-source entity in AI research and development. The tokens of the three organizations will be merged under a single token, called Artificial Superintelligence ($ASI).

Merger details

This merger has been approved by the Fetch and SingularityNET communities. Holders of $FET and $AGIX tokens will have the opportunity to vote on this merger proposal. The merger has been approved and will be complete on June 13, 2024.

Key benefits of the partnership

1. Creation of the largest open-source and decentralized player in AI research and development.
2. Providing a powerful alternative to Big Tech’s control over AI development, use and monetisation.
3. The merger of Ocean Protocol, SingularityNET and Fetch.ai creates a foundation for a decentralized and scalable AI infrastructure, ensuring ethical and trusted practices.
4. The alliance facilitates the commercialization of each company’s technologies, providing universal access to state-of-the-art AI platforms and large databases.
5. This step advances the path to developing AGI on blockchain.

The vision of the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (ASI)

SingularityNET, Fetch.ai and Ocean Protocol have proposed to unite their tokenomic networks under the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (ASI), creating the world’s largest independent and open-source foundation for AI research and development. Founders Ben Goertzel of SingularityNET, Humayun Sheikh of Fetch.ai and Trent McConaghy of Ocean Protocol predict that the near future will bring dramatic advances in AI, culminating in Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and, later, Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI) systems.

Governance structure of the ASI

The governance of the ASI network will take place on several levels:
1. Formal corporate structure: the Artificial Superintelligence Board will oversee and guide the operations of the combined decentralized community of the newly merged token network.
2. Participatory governance at the network level: decentralized governance will be central to the $ASI token, taking into account the decentralized culture and history of all foundations.
Alliance member governance: Governance will take into account the unique aspects of the different $ASI token pools managed by Alliance member organisations.
Governance of self-organised sub-networks: The governance of ASI sub-networks, including their native governance mechanisms, will be maintained and adapted in the new framework.

Details of the token conversion process:

– $FET tokens will be converted to $ASI at a ratio of 1:1.
– $AGIX tokens will be converted to $ASI at a ratio of 0.433350:1.
– $OCEAN tokens will be converted to $ASI at a ratio of 0.433226:1.

Conclusion

The ASI merger has been approved and will be completed on 13 June 2024, it represents a major step towards a future where Artificial Intelligence development is done in a decentralised, ethical and trusted way. This alliance promises to provide universal access to advanced AI platforms and contribute significantly to the advancement of AGI and ASI.
